Custom packaging
It is difficult sometimes to find the right packaging, the main reasons being that your product is too large for conventional bags, sacks or boxes or standard sized packaging materials do not suit the actual size of your product. Your product could even be so awkwardly shaped, that trying to find something suitable can be a real problem.
Martins Mill packaging offer three solutions for this problem.
Layflat polythene tubing
Supplied in continuous rolls, available in two gauge thicknesses- 250 gauge / 62.5-micron and 500 gauge / 125-micron, to be cut to length and then sealed with either a heat sealer, wire or cable ties, staples or tape. It protects your products from dirt, dust and moisture and offers strong tear resistance, and is also used in packing departments to produce custom sized plastic bags.
Polypropylene tubing - spiral sewn
Woven Polypropylene Tubing, is stocked in a wide range of widths up to 107cm (42”) diameter in continuous rolls. Larger diameters can be obtained at very short notice. It is more durable and stronger than polythene layflat tubing because it is a woven product, and because it stretches, you can expand it over an item and it will grip the item securely, as it springs back. It is also cut to length and then sealed with either wire or cable ties, staples or tape.
In-house cardboard box manufacturing plant
We have a wide range of standard size cardboard boxes that you can view here.
If a standard size is not suitable, as a further option we have our own in-house box making plant to enable us to manufacture special sizes to customers’ needs. We offer one-piece boxes with or without folding lid, pallet style boxes with separate lid and several different designs of die-cut boxes. Customers can purchase limited quantities of new or special designs without having to commit to very large quantities as would be the case with a volume manufacturer. This in-house facility helps us to keep our costs low, provide a fast turnaround for our customers, and gives us total control over quality, with competitive prices, even for modest quantities.
